About Measured Room

Measured Room answers the question that decides most furniture purchases and that almost no review site answers: will it fit, and what will the whole room cost? Every guide here is built from measurements — seat depth, doorway clearance, walkway width, mattress height — rather than from adjectives.

Where the numbers come from

Dimensions and prices are taken from the manufacturer's own specification page on a stated date, and we say which page. When a brand publishes overall depth but not seat depth, we say that too, because the difference is often four or five inches and that is exactly the gap that ruins a small living room.

Clearances — how much walkway you need, how much space a door needs to swing, how far a sofa has to sit off a wall — come from standard residential design practice, and we show the arithmetic so you can substitute your own room.

What we have not done

We do not claim to have sat on every sofa on this site. A specification sheet is not a comfort test, and pretending otherwise is how furniture reviews became useless. Where comfort matters, we point at the return policy and the trial period instead — those are the parts you can actually verify before committing.

How we make money

Through affiliate commissions. If you buy through a link here, the merchant pays us a referral fee and you pay the same price you would have paid anyway. The full explanation is on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

Corrections

Manufacturers revise dimensions between production runs and prices move constantly. If a number here does not match what you see on the product page, email hello@measuredroom.com and we will fix it and note the change.
